Laura (@AstroLauraD) just finished the first year of her PhD studies in the MeerTRAP group at the University of Manchester under the supervision of Professor Ben Stappers. Laura is originally from Melbourne, Australia, and did her BSc at Monash University in Melbourne. She then did her MSc at the University of Amsterdam in the Netherlands before moving to the UK for her PhD. Laura works on radio imaging with the brand new MeerKAT telescope to pinpoint exactly where fast radio transients – such as pulsars, fast radio bursts, and stellar flares – are coming from.
