Ever wondered what the beginning of everything looked like?

Science indicates that the universe evolved from a big bang and at bluedot, we are celebrating the beginning of time with a large scale geometric installation artwork, situated in the Dark Side of the festival arena.

Pineapple Project is a creative studio from Manchester School of Architecture who focussed on designing, developing and assembling an installation for bluedot festival. The studio is driven by 4 students; Kieran Thompson, Andrew Chung, Fraser Streatfield and Russell Pollard.

The student-sourced collaborator Decordia, is a creative studio that designs, creates and delivers immersive, in-the-moment experiences for events and festivals. The brief was to design and build an installation that could be used over a minimum of 3 years. The design was developed between the students and Decordia. Undergraduate students from the school were involved in assembling and contributing to the design as well as exploring new possibilities for how the installation could be adapted for future use.
