Scott Kay
Scott Kay is a Reader in the University of Manchester’s School of Physics and Astronomy, working in the Cosmology research group of the Jodrell Bank Centre for Astrophysics. He has a degree in Astrophysics from the University of Edinburgh and a PhD from Durham University. He also worked at the Universities of Sussex and Oxford before coming to Manchester.
Scott’s research involves running simulations on supercomputers to study how the Universe gave rise to the galaxies and clusters of galaxies we observe today. He is particularly interested in understanding how these objects are affected by powerful supermassive blackholes and what they tell us about dark matter and dark energy.
