Leftfield, electronic and dancefloor pioneers, unleashed their acclaimed new album ‘This Is What We Do’ in December 2022.

“Explodes out of the speakers, colliding worlds to incendiary effect” – DJ Mag

“It sounds of a piece with its predecessors and yet of the moment” – 4*, The Observer

“a timely blast of healing positivity, all but impossible to resist” – 4*, MOJO

“kinetic vibrancy that sounds thrilling” – 4*, Evening Standard

“The 11 tracks each serve up a masterclass in dancefloor endeavour” – 4*, Telegraph

“both incendiary and visceral, yet emotive and diverse” – 4*, The Arts Desk

This Is What We Do is Leftfield’s first album of new music since 2015’s feted Alternative Light Source. The album was crafted by Neil Barnes with long-time studio and mix engineer Adam Wren, and  features guest contributions from Fontaines D.C. frontman Grian Chatten, Lemn Sissay and more.

The album is heralded by the most recent single – and BBC 6Music A-list record – “Full Way Round” feat Fontaines D.C.’s Grian Chatten. “Full Way Round” is a thrilling combination of styles: Leftfield’s tough, electro-indebted production is punctuated by Chatten’s iconoclastic vocal delivery, every syllable delivered with purpose and a steely intent. It is a moment of pure revitalisation, recorded in Leftfield’s studio in West London.

Leftfield (originally comprised of Neil Barnes and Paul Daley), have been at the cutting edge of dance music since the 1990s, releasing albums that have become some of the most influential electronic records of all time around the world with their debut LP Leftism being widely regarded as one of the most boundary-pushing electronic LPs ever released.  They split in 2002 to pursue solo projects, and Barnes reignited the Leftfield name in 2010 with a number of different musicians joining him in studio and on stage over the last 12 years.

Touring the UK in the Spring to sold out concert halls, this is bound to be a highlight of Bluedot this year.

It’s going to be big!
