Chris Lintott has made a career out of finding the unusual and unexpected in the night sky, often with the help of volunteers via the online Zooniverse website. What he hasn’t found is any evidence of alien life amongst the stars. In this talk, he’ll share the story of nearly discovering an alien megastructure, and explain why he hopes never to succeed in spotting alien life in the Universe.
