Dom Blood and Fire
After first hearing reggae being played on a sound system at a street party in 1977, Dom was hooked.
While working as a chef, he would obsessively buy reggae, blues, funk, electro and house music, and took his first foray into club promotion by setting up a popular student night in Bolton. The night went well and he continued to play there and at parties, clubs and raves around the North West & Ireland.
After making a move to Manchester in 1993 he secured a weekly slot at Ten Bar and featured at the successful “DUBism” club nights at The Roadhouse and the Music Box with Guy Morely and Mr. Scruff.
By now the sounds of Jamaica dominated his sets and Dom honed his reputation as a reggae specialist.
